Our health care system is broken. We’ve all experienced it for ourselves, read heart-breaking stories, or watched loved ones suffer needlessly.
Studies show that, as a nation, we only get the right care — at the right time and for the right reason — about half the time. 50/50. No better than a flip of the coin.
Of course, that assumes you have health insurance, and more than 46 million aren’t so “lucky.” And millions more are underinsured or at risk for losing their coverage.
And this is the United States. We spend more on health care than any other nation. It’s time we fix our health care system, and right now we have the best opportunity in decades to get it done right.
For women and their families, there is no more urgent priority. We need a health care system that provides affordable choices, comprehensive coverage including the full range of reproductive health services, and access to health professionals who deliver the highest quality care.
